The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Procurement Analyst l, Local 2020-05 to join our team in Sudbury. This is a Fixed term (12 months) position. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing junior level support in purchasing materials, equipment and services for operations and projects implementations, aiming to assure the supply of items for business continuity, at the lowest total cost of ownership possible, achieving industry best practice standards of delivery time and quality of products and services. Accountabilities In this position you will: Execute procurement processes including: Plan purchases / defining supply terms and strategies. Competitive bidding preparation. Assure availability of goods and services that demand continuous supple through follow up of existing contracts and or review for contract amendment or renewal. QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS Education: Undergraduate Degree or College Diploma preferred in Business related discipline (example Commerce, Engineering/Certified Engineering technologist, Legal). Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) certification is an asset. Certification through Purchasing Management Association of Canada (PMAC) is also desirable. Experience: 1-5 years progressive experience in related roles (Vale or external) is preferred.
